Lynden Sculpture Garden Packages

The Lynden Sculpture Garden Package offers the most complete Lynden experience by preparing students in their classroom for their trip to the sculpture garden. The two segments—in class and at Lynden—are related thematically and balance observation and hands-on learning.

The Sculpture Garden Package begins with a 60-minute visit to your classroom that incorporates hands-on activities into a thematic presentation. You and your class then travel to the sculpture garden for a two-hour program that includes a mini-tour and a hands-on workshop in our art studio or outdoor learning center. Choose from among four themes: Observation, Sculpture Construction Techniques, Art and Environment, or Visual Language – Understanding Abstraction.

Weather permitting, groups are welcome to spend an additional hour outdoors exploring the garden or enjoying lunch in our picnic area.

Group Size and Chaperones

Lynden Sculpture Garden Packages are designed for groups up to 30; if you have a larger group, please contact us. One adult chaperone per 10 students is required for the Lynden segment of the package.

Availability

Lynden Sculpture Garden Packages are offered year-round, Monday through Friday (Lynden segments are not available on Thursdays) unless otherwise indicated. You may schedule your classroom visit and Lynden visit in different months. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather; students will spend time outdoors during the mini-tour.

Fees

$255-$360, depending on group size.

Requirements & Materials

We require adequate space and tables for making art; access to a digital projector and screen or blank wall; and, in some cases, access to water for the classroom visit. We provide all supplies and materials for the workshops.
