School’s Out Workshops at Lynden Sculpture Garden
Looking for something to do on those days when school isn’t in session? The Lynden Sculpture Garden offers School’s Out Workshops for children aged 6-11. These workshops integrate our collection of monumental outdoor sculpture with the natural ecology of 40 acres of park, ponds and woodland, creating a unique hands-on experience of art in nature. Taught by experienced art educators and naturalists, the workshops combine creative expression with plenty of fun.

Take It Apart/Put It Back Together
Monday, January 30, 2017
9 am-4 pm
Online registration closed. Register by phone at 414-446-8481.
One of the best ways to see how things are made is to take them apart. We will look into the inner workings of natural objects and deconstruct everyday items to explore the mechanisms inside. Learn to use a variety of tools and processes as you repurpose parts into an inventive assemblage sculpture, and conjure a new plant or creature from objects collected outdoors.
