Fees

  • Lynden Sculpture Garden Packages: $255-$360, depending on group size.
  • Lynden on Tour: $200 per classroom. If you schedule a docent-led tour at the time you book your workshop, the price drops to $170.
  • Field Trips at Lynden: $7 per child (there is a $70 minimum for groups under 10). This includes all supplies and materials. Adult chaperones are admitted free (limit of 4).

Payment

Payment is calculated based on the number of students submitted on your Request Form. Because these education programs require special staffing, we cannot accept changes in headcount less than two weeks in advance; you will be billed for the number of students shown on your request form (with any modifications) two weeks prior to the scheduled program. If there is a change in headcount, please notify Jeremy Stepien at (414) 446-8481 or jstepien@lyndensculpturegarden.org. All members of your group must be pre-registered. Payment is due upon receipt of your bill and cannot be accepted or processed at the door. Make checks payable to "Bradley Family Foundation." Do not send payment with a change in headcount without first notifying Jeremy Stepien.

While we do make a complete refund if your program is cancelled due to weather conditions (see below), we cannot offer a refund if your group's headcount decreases after your payment has been made.

Group Size and Chaperones

These programs are designed for groups up to 35. If you have a larger group, particularly in the summer; or if you want us to serve multiple classes at a single site, please contact us. One adult chaperone per 10 students is required for all programs at Lynden.

Weather

All education programs at Lynden include an outdoor component. The only times we do not go outdoors are when there is lightning or when weather conditions threaten the safety of visitors. In extreme cold, time outdoors may be shortened; the program will be modified to include more indoor activities.

If your trip is cancelled due to weather conditions that make driving to Lynden unsafe, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.

If you have questions about weather in the 24 hours prior to your trip, please call (414) 446-8481.

Name Tags

Name tags are required for all students, chaperones, and other adults. Please provide name tags with your students' names on them, and be sure that they are worn where educators can see them easily to facilitate discussion. We supply all art materials.

What to Bring

Food, drinks, gum, candy, backpacks and large handbags are all safety and security risks for works of art. Please leave these items on the bus. Food and beverages are allowed at the outdoor picnic area only. Sunscreen and bug repellent are recommended in the summer.

What to Wear

Artmaking, whether in your classroom or at Lynden, can be messy. Please dress accordingly. All programs at the sculpture garden include an outdoor component (see Weather, above); it is imperative that you dress appropriately for the season. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes as extensive walking on uneven ground may be required. There are no paths in the Sculpture Garden, and in the warmer months you will be sharing the grassy surfaces with geese--flip flops, sandals or dress shoes are not appropriate.

Photography

Due to copyright restrictions, visitor safety and access concerns, no commercial photography or videography is allowed on Lynden Sculpture Garden property without permission. Personal photography/videography with handheld equipment is permitted, but reproduction or publication of still or moving images of the house, permanent collection, gardens, grounds or temporary exhibitions is strictly prohibited (this includes posting images on the internet, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube or any other electronic/digital platforms).

Where to Enter

Busses must enter through the west gate. This is the entrance closest to the barn and immediately opposite the westbound left turn lane on Brown Deer Road. There is a small sign hanging from a lamppost at this entrance that says "LYNDEN. Harry L. Bradley." Pull up past the barn to where your educator is standing. Your educator will direct you to a parking space. There is room in the lot for up to 5 busses.

Under no conditions may passengers be discharged on Brown Deer Road. This is extremely dangerous: eastbound traffic will not be expecting to encounter a bus parked in the far right lane.

Don't Be Late!

Arrive with your students and chaperones prepared with name tags 10 minutes prior to your program start time. If you are delayed, please call (414) 446-8481.

Changes & Cancellations

If there is a change in the date or time of your scheduled trip, or a cancellation, please contact Jeremy Stepien at (414) 446-8481 or jstepien@lyndensculpturegarden.org. An entire trip may be canceled no later than one week before the scheduled date. Any group canceling less than a week in advance—except in the case of weather emergencies--must pay the full cost of their visit.

Special Needs

When requesting an educational program, please indicate your need for any specialized information or assistance for your students. There are no paths at the Sculpture Garden. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact Jeremy Stepien at (414) 446-8481 or jstepien@lyndensculpturegarden.org.
