For the first time in Creative Capital’s history, artists of any discipline will be able to apply when the next cycle opens on February 1, 2018. The organization has adapted the award structure to further support bold voices that are pushing the boundaries of all cultural fields, and they have removed any limitations on how (and in what format) artists express themselves.

Before applications open in February, Creative Capital is hosting a series of free info sessions around the country. They will be coming to Milwaukee on Wednesday, October 18 for a session at the Lynden Sculpture Garden. Meet up with Creative Capital, local artists, and others from the cultural community to learn how artists can apply for funding of up to $50,000 for innovative project ideas, plus receive career development and advisory services valued at an additional $45,000.

Creative Capital staff will present an overview of their Awards Program and answer questions about the process, the type of work we seek to support, and how to apply. The session is free and open to the public - artists in all disciplines are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be provided. This workshop is co-sponsored by our friends at 371 Productions.

For those who can’t make it to this info session in person, don’t worry--there are also online sessions in January and February.
